Meet the founder
Panaclear was created out of necessity, driven by our founder, Julia Benson. Through the entirety of her teens and early 20's, she struggled with persistent acne.
After trying every cream, serum, and cleanser on the shelf, she noticed they were all built around one of three approaches: cleansing away dirt, drying out oil, or killing bacteria. To make matters worse, none of them worked for long - if they did at all.
Frustrated by the lack of solutions, she started asking questions. What’s enabling my acne to thrive? And what's preventing my skincare from actually working?
One answer kept showing up: biofilm. Intelligent communities of bacteria glued together by extracellular polymeric substance.
Working with scientists, formulators, and experts in biofilm eradication, she developed Panaclear, the first skincare line specifically designed to cleanse away biofilms.
